Hampshire Being a wedding photographer in Basingstoke for over 20 years, I’ve seen many trends come and go. I’ve also seen countless people enter the wedding industry full of enthusiasm, only to disappear again far too quickly.

Which brings me to the sad news about Highfield Park. It is no longer operating as a wedding venue. How long this will last or what the future holds for this grand old building remains to be seen. I believe I was the last photographer to capture a wedding there, which feels strangely poignant. Highfield Park has been part of so many couples’ stories over the years.

My thoughts are especially with the staff, many of whom have worked there for a long time and now face the uncertainty of finding new jobs. It’s never easy when a place with so much history closes its doors.
